 Award winning British creative product designer,  CARoLYN  MURDoCH, CARi started her own business 15 years ago. After successfully completing an advanced Embroidery City and Guilds programme  she wondered what she could do with the skills she had acquired.  CARi began to make Baby Birth Record Cushions, quickly realising, they took time that outweighed profitability - she then advanced in to decorative Wedding Ring Pillows without the personalisation. Once into the wedding market she  found other accessories were needed, most of her orders were for Wedding Favours but before long was designing and making  Wedding Dresses, many of them being featured in Bridal Magazines.  However the Wedding Market being very seasonal led her in to making similar items and gifts for corporate functions.

In 1999 her business began to flourish and consequently lots of exciting things started to happen. In the years to follow she won the B.O.D.G. America competition for being a Scottish Entrepaneur - her prize a business trip to San Francisco, she was shortlisted for Gift of the Year with a bottle accessory "Message on a Bottle" and winner of Scottish Gift of the Year with the "Antique Wedding Collection" comprising of matching Wedding Stationery, table decoration, favours, small gifts and coordinated Bridal Headdresses. During the past 10 years,  many times and  with various products she has been shortlisted, highly commended and winner of the’ Gift of the Year Awards”. This is an annual competition held by the retail Gift Sector in the UK looking for the latest most original and innovatively designed products that could be given as gifts,  which are also commercially viable.

Product Designer extrodinair she continues to create  - with the newest products CARi-bags  - the Dolly Bag Collections and with more to follow.
